Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is calling out the racist culture in Bollywood . this statement has come out at the time when the nation is divided after Shahrukh Khan’s son’s Aryan Khan arrest by NCB. Even though the investigation in the drugs case is on and the truth is yet to come out, Shah Rukh is already facing the heat on social media. some have claimed that he is being pestered on being Muslim in India. Journalist Aarfa Khanum has tweeted about this

but social media is full of suggestions that  Shah Rukh Khan’s brand value has indeed decreased over time and that’s natural. though many stalwarts are coming in his support. Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar feels the case of Aryan Khan is just a ‘tamasha’ and by now, everybody knows how suspicious the arrest was. As per him, BYJU’s has only paused their association and not removed Shah Rukh Khan as their face.

“Rivals might use it saying your brand ambassador’s son is doing drugs, what are you teaching children? They don’t want to open themselves up for any such attack. Rather than dropping him from the whole thing, they just paused to see what the result is. Aryan is just being held for the heck of it, it is a political thing and everybody understands that. At the end they will have to let him go,” Prahlad says while talking to Hindustan Times.

Not just social media, but Shah Rukh is even facing a dent in his brand value of advertisements. Recently, we saw BYJU’s (educational technology company) pausing its association with King Khan. Amid son Aryan’s arrest, the company has pulled off its advertisements and promotional material featuring Khan.

and now Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s statement will add fuel to fire, which is reeling under some serious allegations. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama in a recent interview, Nawaz praised his Serious Men co-star Indira Tiwari. Appreciating her phenomenal role in the movie, Nawaz hoped that she gets similar recognition in the future.

Casting Tiwari as a lead in Serious Men was a decision made by film director Sudhir Mishra.

“Sudhir Saab has immense knowledge about cinema, and his thought process is very practical. He cast her as the heroine, and I can guarantee you that there is so much racism in our industry, I will be very happy if she is cast as the lead again. Sudhir Mishra did it, but what about the head honchos in charge? More than nepotism, we have a racism problem,” said Nawaz.

He continued, “I fought against it for many years, and I hope that dark-skinned actresses are made heroines; it’s very important. I’m not even talking about skin colour; there is a bias that exists in the industry which needs to end for better films to be made… I was rejected for many years only because I’m short and I look a certain way, although I can’t complain now. But there are so many other great actors who fall prey to this kind of bias.”
